Rugby Town Girls and Ladies FC has been in existence as a club since the 1996 season, running independently for a considerable number of seasons in various guises.
Our club formed a single team of 14 players back then and we have continued to grow and develop to the present day with 11 all-female teams and approximately 100 playing members comprising of groups from U6 to senior ladies.
Season upon season, our club goes from strength to strength with the continued support of volunteers, parents, coaches, and sponsors, we have increased our pool of female players and club officials. The aim is to continue to bring good league-standard women’s football to Rugby but also to ensure that anyone irrespective of age or ability has the opportunity to play football.
The main aim at Rugby Town Girls and Women FC is to ensure that we provide a positive, fun, and safe environment for girls to experience football. Our coaches, volunteers and club officials involved in working with the girls are positive role models and display high moral and ethical standards which benefit their development significantly.
Our home is a superb facility close to the center of Rugby, training on a synthetic floodlit 3G Astro-turf and matches. We are an FA Charter Standard Club.
All of our coaching volunteers at our club are at the very least FA Level 1 qualified including DBS checked, emergency first aid, and children safeguarding trained as a minimum.
