The injury-hit u14s squad welcomed Coalville Town to a windy Kilsby Lane and had a very hard game. In the first half general performance was down a little from last week but the team created opportunities getting behind the Coalville defence with some well-timed runs in particular from Mims and Cesca on her debut.
0-0 at half time and the team were hoping for a bright start to the 2nd half but unfortunately the opposite happened, 2 quick goals for Coalville who now had the strong wind helping them and the team could have easily folded.
They showed once again their determination in fighting back and Megan scored to narrow the deficit. Coalville now seemed to get nervous as Rugby pushed looking for an equaliser.
This came through Mims and the team stayed on top pushing for a third which didn’t come but they could feel proud of their fightback to achieve the draw.
Thanks to Molly and Charlie for coming to support their team again and Charlotte for doing a great job helping by running the line. Hopefully back on the pitch soon but great to see when injured players come and support their team.
