Rugby travelled to Epworth Forest for a lunchtime kick off. The grass was in good condition considering the time of year but took for a few minutes to get used to.
The match was an evenly fought contest with both teams’ ‘keepers given lots of opportunities to demonstrate their skills. Rugby have been focussing on spreading play to the wings and were able to utilise this well throughout the match. This was an enjoyable game of football played in the right spirit by both sides including some really great moments of sportsmanship on the pitch.
POM: Gracie showed great energy throughout the match and made good runs upfront to help create space for team mates.
PPOM: Norah for excellent work in goal and strength in defence. She broke up play well and played smart passes forward to create promising attacks.
