The new season has been a bit of a stop-start affair and Rugby will be pleased to get going with a run of matches. This was another tough fixture against one of the league favorites, Knowle Women FC.
The first half was very even with Rugby having the best chance to score but not making the most of them. Rugby conceded a penalty late in the half which Knowle put away for 1-0.
The 2nd half of the match was a bit of a stalemate but Knowle created more chances as Rugby went for the equalizer and found pockets of space left open to punish Rugby with a further 2 goals. A good game to watch if not the result for Rugby but also from the first half showed the positive direction of the team, the 2nd was a game chasing the chances, a very even game with Knowle taking their chances winning 0-3
