The under 9s have had an amazing season all of the girls have improved massively throughout season. The girls have all turned into amazing players and people this season and have really grown up. They unfortunately got the full heartbreak of penalties in the semi final of the Cup and Shield. However, I feel like they came back stronger. They also had their first tournament experience this season which they all loved where they came an impressive 2nd. The girls come to training every week and put in 100% effort which pays off well in matches.
It was a really tough decision to choose the awards because we felt like all the girls deserved one. Both the parents player and players player votes had 1 in it.
Parents player this season was Millie, this award was well deserved because Millie puts in 110% effort into every game and runs miles every game. Millie always puts in a great shift for team and is becoming really knowledgeable of the game which helps the team massively. Well done Millie!
Players player was awarded to Ellie, Ellie is another player who always put in a lot of hard work and often ends up celebrating throughout our matches. Ellie is able to play multiple positions on the pitch including in goal which is not her natural position. Well done Ellie!
Managers player went to Olivia, Olivia is always the most vocal on pitch and likes to make sure the girls all know what they need to be doing. Olivia always has a smile on her face and is up for any challenge. Olivia is a little captain in the making and is a very natural team player. Well done Olivia!
Most improved player this season was Poppy, at the start if the season Poppy lacked a lot of confidence however throughout this season Poppy’s confidence both on and off the pitch has grown massively and it had been evident in every game she plays. Well done Poppy!
Thank you to Dan for helping with training and assisting on match days, thank you to the young leaders for helping us during training, thank you Jo for doing the behind the scenes admin for us and most of all thank you to the parents for bringing the girls each week even in the freezing cold and rain.
