This weekend in our purple training kit we travelled to the other side of the world , well ok ……Ashby de la Zouch.
What a performance by each and every one of the girls today, their hard work and chasing down of every single ball gave them a result they deserved.
We all agreed that it was a proper end to end game of football, some amazing saves in the first and second halves by Megan and Ellie kept us in it.
Two successful shots on target by Leila came from some nice passes and moves. Our defence held strong with Daisy May and Astrid again covering each other really well. On the wings Bianca, Poppy & Daisy covered the ground creating numerous chances . Credit to the Ashby defence who were very quick and strong and kept closing us down.
Ellie B, Lily & Lil Poppy all had runs out playing in the middle and got stuck in helping drive the ball forwards with the confidence they are building up weekly at training.
All the girls truly gave it everything and should be massively proud of themselves.
