Sunday saw Rugby Town Girls U7’s put into practice all they have been learning in training, positions were held and some lovely passing and calling for the ball was demonstrated by all.
The first half showed plenty of positive play from Rugby Town. Evelyn and Saanvi played strong defence, putting in lots of tackles, backed up by Peggy and Lexi in goal, saving all that came into their path.
The second half and lots more position changes proved the girls are coming on in all areas of their footballing skills. Scarlett shown them all how to take perfect throw ins and May really got stuck in playing up front. Erin demonstrated some real skill in goal and Lilly played strong in midfield, executing some lovely passes resulting in further positive play.
Overall it was a great game for the girls who are ever improving week after week.
Player of the Match was a unanimous decision made by the parents, Evelyn has grown in confidence and skill over the past few weeks and it really showed in her performance this week.
Well done to Evelyn and all the girls, you all did amazing!
