Rugby Town Girls and Women FC are proud to announce the Young Leaders to go with its existing programme, Football Futures.
The club has had a young leaders section for many years which has provided coaching, leadership and refereeing opportunities for the members of our U14 teams and above, often as part of their volunteering for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.
The success and popularity of this programme can be seen from our past young leaders and the roles they have gone on to in working life, from, teaching to working with in the FA.
By introducing the new logbook that provides a clear pathway and recognition for the girls within FA standards, is a positive aspect for the long-term development of our young leaders and our club.
Football Futures combines football and personal development with emphasis on our young leaders becoming more familiar and involved with the whole club, from our youngest Wildcats teams all the way up to our Women’s 1st Team.
Our young leaders will work towards gaining substantial practical experience at the club as can be seen every week coaching at the club as well as completing several formal FA qualifications and courses.
We believe that by undertaking the Football Futures programme our young leaders will gain invaluable experience in leadership, planning and communications skills. Completion of the programme will also provide tangible and unique evidence that will be hugely beneficial for college, university or employment applications.
We wish our young leaders all the best, now and in the future as they embark on their Football Future programme and look forward to supporting them throughout their journey.
