Sunday 18th April
The game started very competitive with lots of good tackles by both sides. The game settled down and Rugby Town saw plenty of the ball and created a lot of early chances only to be thwarted by the opposition goalie. Anstey looked dangerous on the counter attack forcing a good save from the Rugby Town goalie.
Rugby pressed hard and were winning the ball back quickly and were soon rewarded with their efforts. Rotating some players to keep them fresh was working well.
During the second half Rugby Town stamped their authority on the game and took complete control, Anstey battled to the end and both teams played some brilliant football.
