Rugby Town Girls U9 vs. Thurlaston Tigresses

The U9 Girls put in another excellent performance on Sunday against a very good Thurlaston Tigresses team.  It was fantastic to see some of the passing moves from the girls. They were constantly looking for each other, moving into space and made several incisive attacks.

It was especially pleasing to see Ellie find herself in some fantastic scoring positions; she has fitted in so well and her parents’ pleasure in seeing her rewarded was a beautiful sight.

Izzy led the team as captain and her non-stop performance is just a given each week. Her heatmap must be a sight.  Victoria has added a strong tackle to her undoubted talent and just gets better every week!

Mia gave an amazing performance given she was up all night partying, and her clinical finishing rounded off some of the team’s most impressive moves.

Maddie not only won tackles, played some killer balls but also showed great creativity going forward.  The girls are reaping the rewards of their hard work in training, and their team ethic is blossoming.

The girls are not only playing well, but the camaraderie they are displaying both on and off the pitch is so great to see.  A special thanks to our opponents from Thurlaston who were wonderful opposition and made the game such an enjoyable spectacle.

Thank you to Molly for refereeing, Coach Andy for all his hard work and our wonderful parents for their continued support and dedication.
