Rugby Town U9 played away at Hinckley against the U9 Comets. Following heavy rain on the Saturday, wewere lucky to play under the sun and on a fairly dry grass pitch. This game wasa good opportunity to put players in unfamiliar positions, we had 4 differentgoalkeepers and some of our more defensive players had the experience toregularly venture forward to contribute to our offensive play. Also, minimalinstructions was given from the touchline so that the girls had to be moreindependent and organise themselves. It produced a very enjoyable game offootball with a great team spirit, players calling for the ball and helpingeach other.
POM: Mabel was our player of the match, she showed greatpositive attitude and spent some time in midfield where she contributed to someawesome positive play.
