2nd match for the new under 8s Lionesses and what a great game it was between two evenly matched new sides. A full team that gave the manager plenty of opportunity to move the girls around to different positions and, since we have plenty of budding Mary Earps’ in the squad eager to go in goal it was hard to give everyone the opportunity, little Charlotte pouncing on any ball in the box followed up by the impressive young Milly in goal for the 2nd half.

The skill and development of the girls aged only 6 and 7, were brilliant to watch, from individual skill to teamwork on the pitch is improving even in the short space of a few weeks.

Yet again the team with their eagerness to play football and listen all with smiling faces, holding them back from being worn out before the match is a task in itself. Well done everyone, the team is a joy to be with and the families watching must be so proud of the work they put in every week.

Heidi yet again proved her talents with the parent’s player of the match.

Managers player Charlotte with her first go in goal and brilliant work in gathering the ball and kickouts.

Lilly was the coach-player of the match for her skill on the ball.
