It was a fresh January morning with sunshine and warmth bursting through on occasions to cheer the parents and supporters up.
The game started fairly lively with some of the girls being straight at it continuing on from the last few games, however a few it seemed still hadn’t quite gotten out of bed fully in their minds. However, they soon began to spark back into play when they were given a few reminders from some ‘hands on’ opposition that Hinckley meant business!!
Scarlett being composed and calm across the back line taking the heat out of the attacks whenever possible. Laura showing some great character already battling against some tough opposition and looks like she will be a great pre transfer day addition by the French Maestro.
Mabel continues to be a brick wall at the back and always looked to take the move forward when she could as too did Saanvi throughout, with her strong tracking back and constant onslaught down the left channel at all opportunities. Lexi worked hard given far less opportunities than she usually sees but was always looking to get her team moving, along with Lily. Both playing some great balls between each other and the team throughout.
It was the combination of these last  three that led to a fantastic team effort midway through the game with Saanvi flying down the wing then passing through to Lexi who looked up and spotted Lily on the opposite section of the oppositions area. The Video footage would still be getting talked about now if it was PSG
The game continued to be a tight call throughout but the away team seemed to step it up in the third quarter until the girls again reminded themselves just how strong and determined they can be when they are on it. May dropped into her little terrier mode hounding the legs of the opposition whenever they were near, never giving them a second and Special mention has to go to Erin who throughout the game and specifically at the turning period of the game dug her heels in and ensured that she was the dominant battler when she spent her time driving the opposition off of the ball who had previously been trying to do the very same previously. It was great to see that determination to battle for her team. The rest of the girls picked up on this display of determination and went all out against the tough visitors,.
Player of the Match – Saanvi with her strong cover at the back and constant driving forward to open up the game throughout her time on the pitch.
