Rugby Town u12 Lionesses hosted AFC Andrews, on the back of a run of decent form.
The match got off to a lively start with both teams making good use of the ball. AFC Andrew showed some great skill on the ball and this caused Rugby some issues, and Rugby were looking a little flat and slower than usual to the ball. This combined allowed AFC Andrews to take a two nil lead.
However Rugby continued to fight, and managed to pull one back. At half time there was all to play for.
During the second half, Rugby continued to struggle to find their usual composure. Despite several strong Rugby attack, it was AFC Andrews that again capitalised due to Rugby not getting the early pressure on the ball. Final score 1-3.
Parents player: Beth for a good performance in defence, making some key tackles and clearances
Coaches player: Sophia, for some great passing play and coming close to getting on the score sheet.
Thank you to the parents for their support and to Pete for his assistance and running the line.
