The U10s put on a much improved performance away at Dunton on Sunday. Dunton were obviously a very strong team, with a strong press and a very talented player in the middle of the pitch. This meant the Town Girls had to dig in deep to gain a foothold in the game.
It was a competitive game decided only by one moment of individual brilliance in the second half. Some incredible tackles and high energy performances from Soph and Maddie held Dunton at bay for long periods of the game.
Alice just goes from strength to strength each week and was excellent. Izzy was also highly competitive in her play, and never stopped. Whilst Mia also gave a very resolute performance, and showed that our new Performance Coach, Brett, is improving the girls stamina.
Vicky was putting the opposition defence under some pressure, and made several exciting runs towards goal. Isabella, wow, Isabella, what a performance in goal. Her ability to read where to be in goal and bravery was incredible.
