The lionesses faced a very familiar team this morning, for some playing against old teammates.
The girls went into the match today very keen and ready to go and this was evident from kick off. The energy on the pitch matched the game last week with lionesses having good possession. Every week the Lionesses make huge improvements and their confidence is so much higher. They are all turning up to training and matches and trying their hardest which is now showing in the results.
Since we played 4 lots of 10 minutes this allowed plenty of changes and all 3 of our goalkeepers had a chance to go in goal and the girls to play in different positions. In training we have really been working on passing and big kicks away from goal which helped us to become successful multiple times today. We’ve also worked on pressing the ball from goal kicks and restarts which also helped us to be successful.
Managers Player: Bella for non-stop work, bringing energy to the pitch and making some brilliant tackles and runs down the pitch.
Parents Player: Molly for having a fantastic performance in defence and making some great tackles and clearances away from goal which in turn denied the opposition multiple times.
