Next in our series of volunteer profiles is Tony H. Tony has been a volunteer for the club for several years, and his daughter plays for our U10s team. Like many of our volunteers, Tony’s list of volunteer jobs has steadily increased and his commitment and effort he puts into the club is impressive and much appreciated.
Tony is an integral part of all our club organised events and his positive approach and involvement plays a huge part in the success of our events.
Primarily Tony is the coach of the U10s team. He is a qualified and licenced FA coach, as are all our primary coaching staff. Tony is also extending his coaching repertoire by undertaking an FA Futsal coaching course. Tony has been instrumental in setting up and running our new Futsal sessions which are held indoors at Bilton School on a Tuesday evening.
The U10s team goes from strength to strength under Tony’s guidance, with member numbers steadily increasing in this friendly and motivated team. Tony works hard to provide a relaxed, fun environment for girls of all abilities to experience and enjoy playing football. He enjoys seeing the enjoyment of all our players and seeing their skills developing both on and off the pitch.
In addition to his coaching duties, Tony takes the lead on many of our social media platforms, including managing and updating our club website and Facebook pages. Social media is a vital tool to advertise and showcase our club and its achievements, so maintaining them takes a significant amount of time. Tony also heads up new player league registrations, ensuring that any player who wishes to play league football has the opportunity to do so as soon as possible.
As the summer tournament season approaches, Tony will be involved in organising our club summer tournament as well as taking part in a number of schools tournaments we are running in the local community.
