The U9’s were at home for the second match of the season, already it was clear to see the girls were beginning to understand their positions and each other’s strengths.
Chloe and Ava made a really positive start against a team that looked full of talent, combining well to create some exceptional forward plays.
Defenders Louise and Astrid continued to show their talent of holding the back line, getting involved and disrupting everything that came their way.
During the 2nd half Rugby Town came under pressure immediately, but the midfield engine that Sophia is proving to be broke up attacks and created chances in Coalville Town’s half.
New starter Amelia showed some good skill on the ball and could also be the U9’s secret weapon with the ability to throw the ball huge distances from throw ins.
Meghan again showed some safe hands when she was called upon, but with Louise, Astrid and Sophia providing great cover in front it was a fairly quiet game for her.
