Oadby & Wigston u14s v Rugby Town Girls u14s

The players arrived in bright spirits for an early kick off at O&W. They put pressure on the O&W defence from the start and had early opportunities to score, 2 of these were converted by Charlotte and Mims with the team looking comfortable pushing Oadby & Wigston back.

The team, Molly in particular demonstrating some nice passing with a number of through balls and angled passes to the wings. O&W spirits improved when a lapse in concentration allowed them through on goal and they scored but 2 additional goals from Molly before half time meant the Rugby team led comfortably.

The second half continued as the first with plenty of pressure on the opposition defence. Savannah pushed forwards and created chances down the left Lexy and Jodie played some nicely timed passes from midfield with Molly driving the team forwards once more and Mims relishing the chance to get in on goal and have some good shots.

At the back, Charlotte marshalled the defence well with Ella seeming to enjoy her battles which had continued all match and Cesca continued to look like she was a regular defender in the team as she covered well and showed great composure bringing the ball out even if it did normally end up with a blow to her ankles.

The result was 2 more goals for Molly, another for Mims and 1 for Megan. There was another consolation for Oadby&Wigston but the end result for a game full of very good performances all round was well deserved with a great victory.
