The girls had to work hard in the Kilsby Lane sunshine against Kibworth. The game started well and there was an early goal for Molly and it was easy to think that this might lead to a flood but Kibworth quickly proved they were going to provide a test.
An equaliser came for Kibworth and then they shortly afterwards took the lead. Rugby were creating most of the chances with Jodie providing a number of through passes but Kibworth still created some breakaways and some nervousness set in. Just before half time Hannah was put through and hit an unstoppable finish for an equaliser which was a relief for all and great to see.
The girls went out in the second half and really pushed forwards. At times they were their own worst enemies crowding around the opposition penalty area but plenty of chances were created and Molly and Lexy scored goals which showed their determination to get the ball in the back of the net. Lots of tired players after the match and ultimately a job well done to come away with the win they deserved.
