Rugby Town Girls u10s v Mountsorrel u10s

What a difference to last week. Rugby U10’s took on Mountsorrel U10’s on a bright sunny day.

With ten girls to choose from, it was another game for switching players on and off the pitch. Sometimes this does not help the team as It took a while for the girls to get in their stride but they still made and missed quite a few chances.

Mountsorrel found themselves constantly on the back foot with Melissa causing their defence a host of problems. Jenna was a virtual spectator in goal as Marley, Rosie and Holly formed a very good defensive barrier. In midfield Lila Poppy Lois and Madi worked hard to break moves down and set up attacks.

The second half saw Montsorrel get a little more into the game but quick counter attacks especially from corners, saw Rugby drive home their advantage. Jasmine in particular was proving a thorn in their side by opening them up on the left and creating chances for others. Overall an impressive performance by all concerned.

Also a thank you to Becky for donating the trophy for Parents player. Just got to make sure they remember to bring it back each week !!!!

No game next week so have a great Easter everyone.

Parents Player : Jasmine Coaches Player: Holly (great tenacity and tackling whether in defence or midfield)
