Every year Rugby Borough Council, the Rugby Advertiser and Rugby FM team up to recognised and reward the borough’s most dedicated and talented sports people.
To celebrate the achievements people have made in 2017, the Rugby Sports Awards will be held at the BENN Hall on Wednesday 28 February 2018.

Maybe you know someone who spends many hours coaching or volunteering in a sports club who deserves to be recognised for the work they are doing, or a talented individual who is excelling in their sport.

Nominations are now open in the following categories:

* Mark Gallagher Memorial Award for Coach of the Year Award

* Club of the Year Award – sponsored by Nationwide Windows and Doors

* The Unsung Hero ‘Volunteer’ Award – sponsored by Warwickshire CAVA

* Sportsman of the Year Award

* Sportswoman of the Year Award – sponsored by Anytime Fitness

* The Lifetime Achievement Award

* Excellence in Sport Award – sponsored by GLL Sports Foundation

* Simon Warwood Memorial Award for Young Team of the Year

* Young Volunteer of the Year Award – sponsored by Rugby Rokeby Lions

* Young Sports Person of the Year Award – sponsored by Rugby Round Table

* Primary School of the Year – sponsored by the Hinckley and Rugby Building Society

All entries shortlisted for an award will receive an invitation to the awards ceremony at

BENN Hall on Wednesday 28 February 2018.
