Rugby Town Girls FC U10s v AFC Market Bosworth Girls U10s

Another very gritty display this week from the U10’s against a good AFC Market Bosworth side.

With no subs available, all of the girls had to put a shift in. Stand-in keeper Rosie had a great game once again & has taken to the role very well, nothing she could have done for their goals, alert as always & some outstanding stops too but Rugby Town again conceding from some sloppy mistakes at the back & they had to work really hard to get back into it.

Our injured, recovering keeper Jenna played well in defence along with Jasmine, both in unfamiliar positions once again.

Eventually, Rugby started creating lots of chances through the hard work in midfield of Lila & Madi’s tackling & blocking of the through balls. Holly played an outstanding game on the wings with Melissa up front picking up the through balls but were thwarted by the post and crossbar plus some really good saves from the away sides keeper.

A change in tactics saw Lila drop in to defence with Jenna & release Jasmine into her more familiar creative right midfield spot which worked a treat, a very closely fought contest.
